The congregation of St. Paul Lutheran Church boldly and openly confesses the Biblical teachings of historic, orthodox Christianity. We believe, teach, and confess that the only true God is the Triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe, teach, and confess that Jesus Christ is true God and true Man - born of the Virgin Mary - Emmanuel - God in the flesh. He came down from heaven in order to take upon Himself the sin of the world. He died for us, to set us free from the power of sin and to make us children of God. He rose again on Easter and now lives forevermore. In Christ, our sins are forgiven and the way back to God is restored to the fallen children of Adam. This salvation comes to us through God's pure grace, that is, it is freely given in Jesus. It comes to us through faith, not by means of works, as St. Paul writes in Romans 3:28. We believe, teach, and confess that the Holy Spirit is given to us through the means of God's Word and the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion, that we may believe in our Savior and grow in His Word of Truth until He comes again to bring us home to Heaven's glory.
